Second Citizens' Against Charges publice meeting

A 'Citizens' Against Charges' public meeting in Newcastle West that drew such a large crowd that many were unable to gain entry is to be continued with a follow-up meeting.

Topics on the eganda include:

· Septic tank charges
· Household tax
· Water charges
· DEIS
· Excessive fire brigade charges
· Rural bus scheme
· Closing of rural Garda stations
· Closing of rural Post Offices
· Village left without filling stations
· No rural bus service
· Rural pubs closing down
· Rural ban on turf cutting
· Severe cut in rural employment scheme
· Closing of rural schools
· Exorbitant school bus charges

The meeting is scheduled to start at 8pm on Monday, 6 February 2012 at the Devon Inn Hotel, Templeglantine.
