April 'On The Nail' Literary Gathering

This months guests at Limerick's On The Nail literary gathering are Cork poet Patricia Walsh and poet Mícheál O'Siochrú.

Mícheál O'Siochrú is a native of Baile an Sceilg Gaeltacht, South Kerry. He has written extensively in the Irish language and has had two collections of poetry and a novel published by Coiscéim. His poetry has won various Oireachtas prizes as well as first prize at Listowel Writers' Week. A renowned Irish teacher, he has taught in Rosary Hill and Vocational School, Castleconnell, Co Limerick, in Villiers, St. Clement's and Limerick Tutorial Colleges as well as in Mary Immaculate College. His third poetry collection in English is an intriguing journey from the pandemonium of the opening poem The Attic to the silence of Healing Room and was published last month

Patricia Walsh was born and raised in the parish of Mourne Abbey, Co Cork. Her previous publications include a collection of poetry, called Continuity Errors, published by Lapwing publications in 2010, and a novel, The Quest for Lost Eire, published in 2014, in addition to being published in a range of journals. She is currently working on her second collection of poetry and a second novel.
