Justice for Rachel Peavoy protest @ 17 Jun 2011
Tony Greene, a close family friend of the Peavoys, said: “For the sake of her family and all who are concerned, questions need to be answered: how and why was this allowed to happen? Dublin City Council and others in positions of authority, whom Rachel pleaded with, should be held accountable on why this young woman was left to live in unfit accommodation.”

Catherine Greene, spokesperson for the Justice for Rachel Peavoy campaign, added: “This was in breach of Rachel’s basic rights for re-housing; despite living in intolerable conditions her pleas for re-housing for her two young boys and herself were completely ignored by Dublin City Council and others who were in a position to help. We need justice for Rachel and all other vulnerable people who are living in unfit accommodation at present, Rachel’s family and friends demand that this never happen again.”
