Gaze flotilla - a perspective
03 Jul 2011: posted by the editor - International

The International Criminal Court had plans to include blockades against coasts and ports in its list of acts of war in 2009.

During the American war of 1812 the British enforced a blockade of the United States east coast.

We are now seeing the complicity of the Greek authorities in enforcing a blockade preventing foreign owned and registered boats belonging to a humanitarian aid convoy from leaving Greek ports and sailing to besieged Gaza.

In short we are witnessing deliberate acts of fascism by ruling bodies that have become nothing more than juntas.

The mainstream media have all but played down these developments. Some have argued that Israel has the right to ‘self-defence’—one can only puzzle at the absurdity of extending such an excuse to prevent the passage of sea bound humanitarian aid to a country shut off from the rest of the world by Israeli military force.
