A declaration of war — why?
Tackling the bigots
A tough and travelled American friend once told me that nothing in life really scared him except physical violence as it was unpredictable and completely insane. Those who willingly declare war on others should consider that, for they are readily inviting such unpredictable insanity upon themselves as well as forcing it upon others.

I have been in places, more than one, where certain individuals took a decision to declare war upon myself. There is no reason for this except for their ignorant stupidity and bullying attitude. No reason, for they do not know anything about me other than their visual interpretations and their self-opinionated view, and I had done nothing wrong to them. Yet they self righteously accused me of having done something wrong and they do not afford me the right to respond to or defend myself to them against their accusations. Instead they attempt to make their errors into mine. This is trial without jury, guilt cast by their own inference, without concern for truth. And it is the latter omission that is their greatest error of judgement.

It would matter little to me if their actions did not affect my daily life, but they do, and that to me is tantamount to a declaration of war against my inherent right to live a life that is untroubled by them —a declaration of war against my personal freedom.

These individuals are not the kind of creeps who haunt the alleys and back streets in the dark of night looking for victims. They are persons working in public positions and helping run public facilities. Details of their actions can be found at various locations at this web site.

These are the kind of people who would attempt to dictate that the world around them should be as they think it ought from their own wants, without any regard whatsoever for anyone else or for the effect of their actions on others. In that they are big time losers for they go against the grain of common decency.

So who are these fools and how best can they be dealt with? When you are confronted with someone whose comments and attitude toward you constitute abuse and who is unwilling to enter into any dialogue, then you stand on the brink of the divide between right and wrong.

To walk away and disregard such abuse is possibly on the one hand a valiant thing to do. On the other it means that the situation will remain unchanged should you return to the environment in which the abuse occurred. Believing in freedom requires more than simple belief if the ideal believed in is to be attained—it requires the commitment of freedom fighters.

Without dialogue there is little room for progress. Where the avenue of the written law of the land does not encompass any means of redressing the situation, then the predicament is volatile and can easily lead to a further breakdown of social order in the effort to attain redress.

This is the problem caused by those who dictate their ideas of social interaction upon others without regard for the validity of those ideas. It is a problem that is widespread and one that has all the hallmarks of causing further unrest and trouble.
