POLAND
The Presidency of the European Union passed to Hungary for the first time on 1 January 2011. The order in which the Member States hold the Presidency has been settled among them up to 2020. There was no public consulation in this process. Poland takes over also for the first time on 1 July 2011. Official EU journal.

The US Army has confirmed that Bradley Manning, the US soldier charged with passing thousands of secret documents to WikiLeaks, will face court martial and the risk of life imprisonment.
