Perhaps it has something to do with the phases of the moon, but there does seem one hell of a lot of total lunatics howling for blood these days.
Funny too how the fervour can become such that it is forgotten just how bombs, bullets and blows impact upon flesh, blood and bone. People would exercise caution when approaching a swing or revolving door so as not to walk into it and hurt themselves while at the same time considering it all AOK to hurl bombs, bullets and shells at others.
Perhaps the problem is that they have forgotten just what it feels like to walk into a door, or perhaps they simply just don’t care. Either way, the consequences are disastrous for all.
We go to our places of prayer and put our minds to the thoughts of love and respect, kindness and right and then we go back to our daily business of hurting one another and building another deck to our ship of Hades. It is a Comedy of Hell that has us all watching with morbid fascination while some of us continue to bay for blood.
Man can play at God but in the end who will decide right from wrong?
Perhaps the heart alone, the very dynamo of flesh and blood.
