Harris O'Brien is the result of a musical fusion between two immensely diverse talents in the south of Ireland - the dissipated rock legend Keef Floyd Harris-Bowen and the then younger music student Jonathan O'Brien. Jonathan learned to play the guitar upside down and back-to-front (literally backwards). He talked strange too, but then I guess that was the Cork accent.
The fusion was to last for two years after a midnight encounter in Limerick's now defunct all-night rock café Route 66 and it produced some startling results, from Ognerg Inc., their first unlikely named song collection which boasted the tracks Freaky Encounters With A Mexican In Thailand, Lullaby and Ognergs Blues, Ramble in G and the superb Midnite Blue collaboration.
