Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky ...There are some people among us whom we consider worthless for no reason other than our predisposition to indoctrinate belief.
They might be older folk, they might be younger.
Perhaps hell is simply the state of not recognising heaven. Apply the concept and see where it leads. Living is, after all, just a state of mind.
We have become largely lethargic – if not insensitive – to the true value of life, glamorising and romanticising violent death. In truth, we can only adopt such an insane perspective if we place a higher value upon something other in the world than the value we place upon life itself.
There are battles going on every moment of every passing day on this small planet on which we live and which some of us recognise as our home. Each and every single one of them is in truth unnecessary with one exception — the fight against disease. Yet even that has turned into a stomping ground of money v morality.
Never mind. Turn away from it all and pretend it doesn't exist, that it isn't really like it is at all. Ostriches have it off to a tee. Get angry too when someone tells you that that is just what you are doing. Get angry, because it is a healthy reaction. After all, you are not really angry at the person who is telling you. You are angry at yourself because you know it is true.
Imagine the Ford Motor Company brings out a new model in 2005, which sells at a phenomenal rate. Then, in 2006 they bring out an ‘update’ to that model, only just about all of the parts etc are completely incompatible with the earlier model.
Then to cap it all, in 2007 the company announces that it is withdrawing all customer support for the first model, despite the numbers sold and despite the fact that the average warranty period for a new car has not even expired.
Never! you shout — saying it would be illegal to act in such a way and if fact you would be quite right.
But that is exactly what Microsoft did with their Windows operating system and to a much lesser extent to the range of Microsoft Office software. Should not Microsoft be brought to book?
